The lake is home to an abundance of spectacular scenery, a host of islands and charming towns and villages. One of the most scenic settlements is Arona, a historic island on the lake’s edge which has a giant statue to Saint Charles Borromeo.
Shearings will also take you to a collection of Northern Italy’s other lakes – Lake Como is often thought of as the most beautiful and Lake Orta, has the distinctive Island of San Giulio. This is a great way to discover the jewels of this beautiful region.
