Leger’s four-day tour begins in The British Sector where the heroic capturing of Pegasus Bridge started the D-Day offensive. Then on to Ranville Commonwealth Cemetery and Breville Ridge and Merville Gun Battery. In the afternoon you will visit the beaches – Sword, Juno and Gold – where the main British invasion force landed, and the Mulberry Harbour Museum.
Day Three is the American Sector where you will visit the tragic landing site of Omaha Beach, the gun battery at Longues-sur-Mer and the German Peace Garden Cemetery. There is an optional excursion to Caen and the opportunity to add an extra day which will concentrate on the days after the beach landings.
